Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BlindPost ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Service Description

BlindPost is an end-to-end encrypted messaging application built on the Blind Post protocol. The App allows users to communicate privately using Ed25519 cryptographic key pairs for identity and X25519 + AES-256-GCM for message encryption. Messages are relayed as encrypted blobs through relay servers that cannot access message content.

Account and Keys

• Your identity in BlindPost is your Ed25519 key pair, generated locally on your device.
• You are solely responsible for safeguarding your private key and any backup mnemonic phrases.
• If you lose your private key, we cannot recover your account or message history. There is no password reset mechanism.
• You must not share your private key with anyone.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BlindPost to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or malicious content.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
• Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful software.
• Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the App or its infrastructure.
• Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the service.

Encryption and Privacy

All messages sent through BlindPost are end-to-end encrypted. We do not have the ability to decrypt your messages or access their content. While we provide the infrastructure for message relay, the content of your communications is solely between you and your intended recipients. You acknowledge that this encryption means we cannot assist with message recovery or content disputes.

Intellectual Property

The BlindPost application, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of BlindPost. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

BlindPost is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You use the App at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlindPost and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of privacy, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the relay infrastructure for users who violate these Terms. Since your identity is based on cryptographic keys rather than an account, "termination" means blocking specific public keys from using our relay servers.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of BlindPost after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
